National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug

In this large forest area, there are plenty of beautiful spots to have a rest and relax for a bit. You can go for beautiful bike rides or walks, over hills and through green forests. There are several nature and recreation areas, great for bird spotting or to enjoy fields full of flowers and colourful marshland.

National Park De Hoge Veluwe

The largest and most famous region in the Netherlands with impressive flora and fauna is... De Hoge Veluwe of course! What characterises this national park is that visitors can hop on a ‘white bike’ to go exploring. You can also visit the Kröller-Müller Museum and the Museonder, among other places.

Nature Reserve Kwintelooijen

A recreational area with a lot of history. When this sandy area was excavated in the 1970s, several soil layers with remains of bones and tools were discovered. Today, this protected nature reserve includes a playground, picnic areas and a tent and caravan area. 

De Betuwe

A beautiful area known for its blossoming fruit trees and orchards. While cycling across the Betuwe you can explore picturesque villages, historic forts and castles, but also towns such as Tiel and Culemborg.
